Description

Botanical Name: Astragalus membranaceus

Country of Origin: China

A traditional adaptogen known to support immunity and vitality. Perfect for teas, tonics, and herbal blends.

Did you know?

Astragalus root comes from a flowering plant in the pea family—making it a close botanical relative of beans, peas, and clover.

🌿  While there are more than 2,000 species in the Astragalus genus, the one most commonly used in herbal products is Astragalus membranaceus.

🌱 The root is typically harvested after 4–7 years of growth

Whole slices of astragalus root are often simmered in soups and stocks to impart a mild, slightly sweet, earthy flavor. The root is typically removed before serving.
